We thought we had lost our mind. Well, perhaps we had, but we finally found a reason for our altered state. Our submission manager (Green Submissions) had updated software and some of our online submission files came up empty–even though they had been read and scored and some had some preliminary editorial tweaks. Apparently, some were lost before we read. If we asked you to resubmit several times, we apologize. Green Submissions is a great service, and they do support literary arts! Updating software is a necessary, but sometimes wonky process. No more updates are planned in the near future.
As we review our terrific anthology submissions, we note that our two planned anthologies all had the theme of change, so we are merging our previous two calls for submissions into one book. We are planning for a June launch and very soon will be seeking support about obtaining blurbs and seeking beta readers and advance copy readers for proofing. We will also continue to work with a professional editor. Many of our writers are notable published authors. A few writers will start to collect publishing credits within this anthology. We are so excited about the quality of work and hope you will join us in making this book a success.
If we make a profit of over $300, beyond expenses, in either of the first two years of publication, we will be making donations to charity. We have committed some of this money to the Southern Poverty Law Center. We also suggest the charity Earth Justice. We’d love to hear your feedback about this secondary charity choice. Let us know what you think. Post below or email us using the contact form below.
Curious about the status of my submission, Joining a New Religion, a revised version which I sent, as requested, and was received on 28 Nov 2017. Is the revision satisfactory?
Thank you,
Duane L. Herrmann
